Qingdao Textile and Garment Industry Association held a report meeting on “China’s Textile Situation and Countermeasures” at Qingdao Zhifa Group. The “China Knitting City” in Jimo City and the “China Textile Machinery City” in Wangtai Town have become important supports for the structural adjustment and upgrading of Qingdao’s textile and garment industry. According to reports, there are more than 20,000 clothing and clothing operators in Jimo City, and sales revenue accounts for 40% of the city’s textile industry. Textile and garment enterprises have 50,000 sets of major production equipment, 70% of which have reached the domestic advanced level and the international advanced level. The level is 30%. The total output value and sales revenue of textile machinery in Jiaotong University Wangtai Town account for 70% and 72% of the town’s total industrial output value respectively. The annual output of various types of looms is 70,000 sets (sets), and the products are distributed in more than 30 provinces, cities and autonomous regions across the country. It is a municipality directly under the Central Government and exports to more than a dozen countries and regions. The national card market accounts for 3/4 of the country, and water-jet looms account for 1/2 of the domestic market share. It is the largest shuttleless loom production base in the country. It is understood that by 2007, Qingdao currently has 34 products that have been awarded “Qingdao Famous Brands” and 26 product trademarks that have been awarded “Qingdao Famous Trademarks”. 15 products were awarded “Shandong Famous Brand” and 13 trademarks were awarded “Shandong Famous Brand”. 14 products of 12 companies with famous trademarks in the province have been recognized as national inspection-free products, including 6 “Chinese Famous Brands” and 3 “Chinese Famous Brands”. In addition, 14 products, including the instant development team, entered the 2008 Qingdao Famous Brand Cultivation Project.

In the first half of this year, China’s textile industry encountered unprecedented difficulties, and Qingdao’s textile industry also faced new challenges and experienced severe tests.
From January to June, there were 790 textile enterprises above designated size in the industry, achieving sales revenue of 33.56 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 25.5%. The export delivery value was 11.82 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 19.8%, a decrease of 5 percentage points from the previous year, and a profit of 1.63 billion yuan. yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.7%, an increase of 2 percentage points. The number of enterprises above designated size decreased by 23 compared with the beginning of the year, and the number of employees decreased by 0.18% year-on-year.
