The Guangqing Textile and Garment Industry Orderly Transfer Park held a collective groundbreaking ceremony on the 31st. The roar of more than 2,000 textile and garment equipment at full power in the park marked a “good start” for the New Year in Qingyuan.
“National fabrics look to Guangdong, and Guangdong fabrics look to China.” In the field of textile and clothing circulation, Guangzhou Zhongda Textile and Garment Business District plays a decisive role. After more than 30 years of development, it has become the leading trading market gathering area for textile and clothing accessories in China, with an estimated annual transaction volume of more than 200 billion yuan. But at the same time, there are also problems such as lack of reasonable planning and layout.
In recent years, Guangzhou and Qingyuan have jointly actively promoted the orderly transfer of the Zhongda Textile and Garment Industry Circle, achieved industrial transformation and upgrading, and shared development dividends. Among them, the Guangqing Textile and Garment Industry Orderly Transfer Park, planned and constructed by the Qingyuan Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, with an area of over 10,000 acres, can fully accommodate the entire textile and fashion industry chain integrating design, production and sales from Guangzhou, and undertakes projects including Guangzhou Relevant industries including the Zhongda Cloth Market were transferred in an orderly manner. The park can accommodate 2,000 companies to move in at this stage, and will be able to accommodate nearly 10,000 companies when fully completed.
It is understood that Guangzhou and Qingyuan will jointly hold a number of special investment fairs in December 2022. At the same time, Qingyuan City has formulated the “Eight Measures for Qingyuan Textile and Garment Industry” to promote the orderly transfer of the textile and garment industry from eight aspects including fixed asset investment incentives and rent-free subsidies. Qingyuan has also introduced relevant financial support policies and talent training plans.
Up to now, the Guangqing Textile and Garment Industry Orderly Transfer Park has connected with more than 5,000 companies, 1,496 companies intend to settle there, and more than 200 companies have settled in the park.
It is reported that the transfer of the Pearl River Delta textile processing manufacturing industry to Qingyuan will have advantages in terms of industrial space and cost. Pan Haitao, director of the Qingyuan Municipal Commerce Bureau, previously said that Qingyuan’s operating costs in land, transportation, water and electricity are only 60%-70% of those in the Pearl River Delta.
