Huzhou Textile and Silk Association successfully re-elected

On the morning of November 28, Huzhou Textile Silk Association held a re-election meeting. Tang Lin, President of China Silk Association, and provincial and municipal associations and brother enterprises across the country More than 30 industry colleagues sent congratulatory letters to warmly congratulate! Wu Jingen, specially invited vice president of China Silk Association and president of Zhejiang Silk Association, and leaders of the Municipal Economic and Information Bureau, Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau, Municipal Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Municipal Federation of Industry and Economics and other departments were present to provide guidance. Relevant persons in charge were waiting to congratulate more than 70 companies in the city. Representatives of textile and silk enterprises attended the meeting. The meeting elected Ling Lanfang, vice president of China Silk Association and chairman of Silk Road Group, to continue to serve as president of the second council of Huzhou Textile and Silk Association.

Wu Jingen, President of the Zhejiang Provincial Silk Association, said in his speech that Huzhou silk had a glorious history and played an important role in the silk weaving industry, and could even be said to account for half of the country. Today, against the backdrop of the silk industry moving from east to west and silkworms from east to west, Huzhou Silk still stands in China’s silk industry. According to incomplete statistics, there are more than 1,000 rapier looms in Huzhou in recent years. This production capacity is greater than that in Huzhou’s silk glory days, and it is still the largest silk weaving base in the country. In the new era, Huzhou Silk must have new goals, and this goal is to polish the golden business card of “Huzhou Silk.” There are only four words to achieve such a new goal – inheritance and innovation.

Chen Zhiyong, deputy director of the IndustrialIndustry Management Service Center of the Municipal Economic and Information Bureau, said in his speech that he would promote highquality in the textile and silk industry in our city. Development is a long-term task that requires both the correct guidance and support from the government, the active participation of the majority of enterprises, and the enthusiastic service and active promotion of industry associations. It is hoped that the Huzhou Textile and Silk Industry Association will closely focus on the overall situation of the construction of “Six New Huzhous”, unite and lead the majority of member companies to fight against the storm, meet the challenges, and make new and greater contributions to promoting the sound and rapid development of the textile and silk industry.

At the meeting, Ling Lanfang, chairman of the Silk Road Group, made a work report on “Polishing the Huzhou Silk Gold Business Card to See Beautiful Silk in Huzhou” on behalf of the first council of the Huzhou Textile and Silk Association.

It is understood that Huzhou is still the largest silk weaving base in the country, with an annual output of approximately 80 million meters to 100 million meters. There are currently about 70 silk weaving companies in the city. The quality and brand name of satin fabrics are well-known at home and abroad. It focuses on the European brand market and supplies domestic fashion clothing. In the past six years, the entire industry has won 6 China Textile Federation “Textile Light” Scientific and Technological Progress Awards (including: 3 second prizes and 3 third prizes), 8 China Textile Federation Product Development Contribution Awards, National Silk CreationNew product promotion activities received 7 gold awards and 1 silver award. 24 projects were included in the national cocoon and silk development special fund projects and passed the acceptance inspection. During the implementation of the project, 4 authorized invention patents, 7 authorized utility model patents, and 7 design patents were obtained.

At the same time, the number of enterprises engaged in terminal operations in Huzhou’s silk industry continues to increase, and the trend of transformation and upgrading is obvious. Silk Road, Meiyue, Xiangshun, Xinnanhai, Yongchang, Jin Yu, Xinyu and Linghu Dongfang have obtained the title of high-end silk mark, and two of them are famous trademarks in Zhejiang Province. There is also the “Silkworm Flower Empress” home textile brand that has been continuously improving from single product breakthroughs, and its popularity is getting higher and higher. The total terminal sales of Huzhou Silk currently total about 120 million. It is particularly worth mentioning that in 2015, Li Qiang, the then governor of Zhejiang Province, required that the province should have 20 high-end silk marks in five years. Huzhou now has 9 high-end silk marks.

The meeting voted and approved the work report, financial income and expenditure report, membership dues standards and management methods, and election methods for the general meeting, revised the association’s charter, and elected a new board of directors. The chairman is Ling Lanfang, chairman of Silk Road Holding Group Co., Ltd., Qian Rongfa, chairman of Huzhou Dongli Silk Co., Ltd., Sun Rongxin, chairman of Huzhou Xinyu Silk Weaving Co., Ltd., and Fei Yinsheng, chairman of Huzhou Jiangnan Hengsheng Refining and Dyeing Co., Ltd. , Ye Yanyan, chairman of Huzhou Xiangshun Industry and Trade Co., Ltd., Pan Xuhua, chairman of Huzhou Shuanglin Textile Co., Ltd., and Gu Genrong, chairman of Huzhou Ronglifu Silk Weaving Co., Ltd., serve as vice presidents.
