The twisting process of various yarns
Twisting process of various yarns
Among the twisting equipment, the two-for-one twisting machine occupies a dominant position. Filaments are often processed on two-for-one twisting equipment, often with combined feed packages, in most cases without balloon rings. Carpet yarns used in so-called Saxony carpets can be twisted by a doubling process (see Figure 1).
Hollow spindle spinning machine (see Figure 2)
It occupies a leading position in the production of fancy yarns and elastic composite yarns. A large number of special processing equipment was also displayed at the International Textile Machinery Exhibition in Birmingham. The rows of equipment at the show may have given the impression that special processing is on the rise, since most of the relevant and authoritative suppliers either did not attend the show or were present but did not display any equipment.
Preparing for twisting
On double-twisting equipment, plying bobbins are often used to obtain a longer twisting stroke without changing the feeding bobbin. Using precise winding, extremely high package densities can be achieved. The emergence of new reciprocating stroke winding methods has brought some dynamism to this area, since package winders with separate driven and driven yarn layers allow yarns to be wound in new ways. On display at the exhibition were filament twisting preparation equipment, winding machines and combined winding doubling machines produced by companies such as Meera and Bluemoon. SSM Group released a winder for edged bobbins with an automatic bobbin changer, and Hacoba also showed a simple winder that uses a storage yarn guide to adjust tension. At the exhibition, many manufacturers demonstrated various winding methods for special yarns.
Short fiber spinning
The dominant two-for-one twisting machine exhibited at the International Textile Machinery Exhibition has many standard equipment. Elitex is one of the suppliers of twisting equipment. Savio showed off its “Geminis” device. In addition to displaying a range of twisting and twisting machines, Leewha Industries also displayed some short fiber spinning equipment. Many cheap imitations of standard two-for-one twisting machines provided by cheap suppliers can also be seen at the International Textile Machinery Exhibition. Muralec announced its single-motor driven smart twister that it has put on the market, and Mnratec also introduced its “Perla-D” winding processing equipment, which uses a three-axis disc friction device to reduce hairiness during the winding process.
Filament Yarn
Filament yarn often needs to be twisted to a certain extent (to avoid fuzzing of the filament yarn during weaving and warping), or twisted according to product requirements. In this case, plying is not required. Ratti exhibited two double twisting machines, one for textured yarn and one for smooth filament yarn. Protective twisting has encountered some competition in recent years due to the emergence of network technology. For certain processes, however, network technology is not sufficient. Filament twisting involves two or more yarns – and twisted.
In balanced twisting, the initial twist and the later twist have the same number of twists but opposite directions. Since balanced twisting is becoming increasingly important, at least 3 spindles are required for each step of initial and final twisting of untwisted filaments. Arratex s.r.l. is producing twisting machines with weft winding devices for fine filaments.
Some manufacturers, such as the two-for-one twisting machine with weft winding device exhibited by Meera, often have two rows of spindles, one of which is located behind the other, and even the creel has two layers. This arrangement is still used because, for fine-denier filaments, it takes a long time to wind a full bobbin and the automatic bobbin change interval is very long. Therefore, adopting this arrangement not only saves space, but also reduces investment.
Small diameter weft yarn winding reduces energy consumption. At the exhibition, Ratti presented a two-for-one twisting machine with a heat-setting heater for sewing threads, while Arratex showed a similar device for woven labels, so that there is no need to consider the problem of untwisting after twisting. .
Carpet yarn is twisted yarn. Although some winders for carpet yarns were on display, BCF spinning bobbins are currently used.
Special twisting and fancy twisting
Hollow spindle twisting equipment that is still widely used in fancy twisting (sable yarn, terry yarn, singe yarn, knotted yarn, etc.) almost all exist today without exception, but it is equipped with modern Machine control, which simplifies gap changeover and operation in general. In order to broaden the scope of existing fancy twisting, needle punch processing (such as chenille thread, etc.) has been improved in detail. Among the exhibitors at the International Textile Machinery Fair, I.MA.TEX. uses the balloon free twisting process to produce sewing threads and sensitive elastic composite yarns. Many hollow spindle winding machines used in the production of elastic composite yarns are also available in double-row spindle and double-layer creel configurations.
Recently, Ratti has embraced OMM and exhibited two hollow spindle equipment. Muratec presented its new MVS air-jet spinning process and highlighted in the exhibition catalog how this process is particularly suitable for covering elastane fibers with good splices and no core unwinding (see Figure 3).
Nowadays, more and more low-twist yarns are processed by double twisting machines or double twisting machines. In order to make full use of the potential speed of the spindle, these equipments are equipped with high-speed winding devices.
Control Systems and Automation
Advances in control systems have made monitors and even video control systems available to low-cost vendors. Such a system is not only simple to operate, but also enables the obtained production data to be transmitted from the equipment to the appropriate location for production control. However, if the data being transferred is from another vendor or productOther stages of the process, even when transferred to the data synthesis library, still present problems. In addition to twisting coarse yarns and fancy twisting, individual drives are now increasingly used in twisting fine yarns. The reasons for using these drives are self-evident, with energy savings of 20%, noise dramatically reduced, and space savings of up to 7%. Although the individually driven simple winder on the twisting machine was not exhibited at the conference, it can be seen on some parallel twisting machines, such as Muratec or SSM. Like previous International Textile Machinery Exhibitions, the automation of raw material processing is concentrated in the transportation of packages between the twisting winder and the twisting machine, as well as the transportation of twisted packages. However, automated methods are not everything at this International Textile Machinery Exhibition. gQuOsM
