Consumers should pay attention to the following points when purchasing children’s shoes:

1. Shoes with stability and protection should be chosen during infancy and early childhood. During infancy and early childhood, children’s feet are soft and vulnerable to injury. Shoes should be soft and easy to bend. Leather and textile materials with good breathability are the best. The best choice for upper material. You can choose children’s rubber shoes made of cloth, which generally have good breathability and soft uppers and soles. Do not buy children’s leather shoes with hard uppers and soles for infants and young children.

2. Infants and young children under 3 years old should buy shoes made of soft materials and should not buy shoes with too many small attachments on the uppers. Children’s feet have a rich network of nerves and blood vessels. Wearing hard shoes will compress local nerves and blood vessels, affect the growth and development of toes and soles, and even cause foot deformities in severe cases. Infants and young children like to grab and hold objects, and also like to put the objects in their hands into their mouths for sucking and swallowing. Too many small accessories on shoes may easily fall off or be pulled off. Once they fall off, they may be swallowed by infants and young children, causing Unnecessary harm.

3. Appropriate shoe size should be chosen during infant and toddler period. Children’s feet during infancy and early childhood are very soft and can be stuffed into shoes of a smaller size without complaining about discomfort. Before purchasing, you should measure the length of your feet correctly and make sure they are not too tight or uncomfortable when trying them on. In this case, the length of the child’s feet should be measured regularly and the appropriate size should be changed regularly.

4. Children aged 3 to 6 years old should buy slightly harder shoes, which are crucial for the normal development of the bones in the children’s feet. During this period, the child’s foot bones have not yet been completely calcified and the ankles are tender and delicate. In addition, the child is active and the stability of the foot is poor. Wearing slightly harder and protective shoes can effectively prevent the child’s foot cartilage from being restrained and restrained during activities. Traction to avoid permanent deformity of foot bones and various foot diseases.

5. It is advisable to buy flat shoes and avoid shoes with heels. Shoes with heels will cause the center of gravity to shift, easily causing adverse symptoms such as bent knees, raised hips, and bowed waist. Flat shoes help protect the normal arches of the feet.

6. Children in childhood are naturally lively and love to run and chase. They should choose soles with moderate hardness, good elasticity and strong grip. Common ones are TPR soles, which are often referred to as rubber soles, tendon soles, and rubber soles. Plastic soles, etc., have good softness, waterproofness, and wear resistance, and have strong grip. The disadvantage is that this type of sole material is relatively heavy and relatively insufficient in elasticity. PU soles are wear-resistant, elastic, have high density and hardness, are wrinkle-resistant, have good oxidation resistance and are easily degradable. EVA soles are also common. The advantages are that they are light, elastic enough, not easy to wrinkle, cold-proof and heat-insulating. The material has good resistance to severe cold and sun exposure, but the elasticity will weaken after a long time of use. There are also MD soles, which are better soles among them. They are lightweight, elastic and durable. The disadvantage is that they are not easy to degrade. When purchasing children’s shoes, MD soles are recommended. When purchasing online, please read carefully the merchant’s product introduction page. When purchasing in a physical store, please carefully read the packaging or tag logo. Generally, the material of the sole is indicated.

7. The material of the upper part of the shoe is particularly important for children. The elasticity of the genuine leather is not enough to cope with the frequent activities of children. Although the first layer of leather is tough, it is expensive, and the second layer of leather does not have enough bending resistance, so Children’s leather shoes are not recommended for daily wear. The mesh material is more suitable for children’s shoes and is very breathable, which can prevent stuffiness and sweating on the soles of the feet. The mesh surface has larger holes and also has a very fine mesh surface, suitable for different seasons. Therefore, it is recommended that when purchasing children’s shoes, try to choose children’s shoes with upper materials made of mesh or a mixture of mesh, leather, and artificial leather.
