Qian Jianguo of Dachengba Village is a major local sericulture farmer. This year, he produced 914.9 kilograms of cocoons in spring and earned an income of 52,000 yuan. This year I took the lead in trying to breed male silkworms. The quality is better, the price is higher, and the income has also increased! It is understood that Qian Jianguo rented a mulberry garden covering an area of 150 acres, involving 96 farmers, and paid 75,000 yuan in land rent every year. While developing the industry, he mobilized more than 2,200 surrounding laborers, paid 220,000 yuan in worker fees, and also solved some problems. Theemployment problem of some farmers has greatly encouraged the development of other sericulture farmers.

The sericulture industry is greenenvironmentally friendly, has low investment, short cycle, high efficiency, and can fully optimize the use of idle rural labor. It is a characteristic industry of Wafang Township. It is reported that Wafang Township Fangxiang currently has 17,920 acres of mulberry gardens and 911 sericulture households. This year, a total of 1,306 spring silkworms have been bred, of which 1,275.5 have been cocooned and 30.5 are in the fifth instar stage and are being raised.

Industrial revitalization is an important guarantee for rural revitalization. In recent years, 19 villages (communities) in Wafang Township have taken the initiative to actively promote the development of the sericulture industry, continuously strengthened training and guidance on sericulture and sericulture, and improved the technical level of mulberry and sericulture.
