The average yield per mu increased
Judging from the survey, cotton is currently growing well in Yutai County. Due to the impact of continuous rainfall last year, the county’s cotton harvest was late and production was reduced. If the precipitation is moderate later this year, the sunshine is normal, and there are no other obvious natural disasters, It is expected that cotton production in Yutai County in 2023 may be similar to the production in normal years, and will increase compared with last year. Rising production costs
The estimated cotton production cost in 2023 is 2,608.16 yuan/mu, a year-on-year increase of 0.78%. The rising costs were mainly chemical fertilizer fees, which were 351.73 yuan/mu, a year-on-year increase of 5.62%.
Increase in cash income
The current market expectations for new cotton prices this year are stable, and cotton seed prices are stable and strengthening. It is expected that cotton cash income in 2023 will increase compared with last year.
