Sichuan Provincial Fiber Inspection Bureau strengthens technical training and guidance to improve the quality of fresh silkworm cocoon acquisition
In order to improve the quality of silkworm fresh cocoon acquisition and help the high-quality development of the sericulture industry, on May 17, the Sichuan Provincial Fiber Inspection Bureau joined forces with Gao County Market Supervision The Bureau held a quality supervision administrative guidance and training meeting.
At the meeting, technical experts from the Provincial Fiber Inspection Bureau systematically analyzed the quality status of silkworm cocoons in Sichuan Province in recent years, explained in detail the importance of instrument evaluation for purchasing fresh cocoons from silkworms, and conducted training on the specific operating methods of instrument evaluation for purchasing fresh cocoons. It also gave targeted reminders on the problems existing in the fresh cocoon acquisition process.
The meeting also reported the results of the supervision and inspection of fresh silkworm cocoons in Gao County in 2022, and explained the relevant penalty provisions of the “Cocoon and Silk Quality Management Measures”.
The cocoonsilk industry is a traditional characteristic advantageous industry and a people’s livelihood industry in Sichuan Province. In the next step, the Provincial Fiber Inspection Bureau will follow the work deployment of the Provincial Market Supervision Bureau, continue to increase notarization inspections, continue to carry out quality monitoring of fresh cocoon acquisitions, further improve cocoon silk labeling, and continue to provide better testing services and technology for the development of the industry. Guide and strive to create a good market environment for purchasing fresh silkworm cocoons and make greater contributions to the high-quality development of the province’s cocoon and silk industry.
