The startup rate of Chinese cotton textile companies remains high in March

The China Cotton Association disclosed on the 20th that although China’s textile market was weaker than expected in March, corporate orders were relatively sufficient and the operating rate remained high. The operating rate of most factories reached more than 80%, and a few reached 100%. Textiles Production increased month-on-month.

China’s textile industry production recovered steadily in March. The domestic sales market has recovered quickly and market confidence has increased. The export market has been affected by factors such as the slow recovery of the international economy. Orders are mainly short-term and small orders, with insufficient sustainability. Overall, China’s spinning and weaving enterprises have a good operating rate. Domestic cotton prices fluctuated downwards, and textile companies took advantage of the dip to replenish raw material inventories. According to a survey of more than 90 designated textile enterprises across the country by the China Cotton Early Warning System, the output of the textile industry has increased this month, and the inventory of finished products and raw materials has increased slightly.

Among them, in March, yarn output increased by 8.6% month-on-month and 1.1% year-on-year. Cloth production increased by 6.5% month-on-month and 1.7% year-on-year.

During the same period, corporate raw material inventories increased slightly. In March, the operating rate of Chinese textile companies was stable, and short-term orders were sufficient, but sustainability was insufficient. As of March 31, the cotton industry inventory of textile companies in the warehouse was 696,100 tons, an increase of 31,600 tons year-on-year.

In addition, the use of Xinjiang cotton by Chinese textile enterprises accounted for 87.86% of the total cotton consumption, an increase of 1.08 percentage points from the previous month and an increase of 2.71 percentage points year-on-year. (End)
