On April 27, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions held the 2023 May Day International Labor Day celebration and the National May Day Labor Award and National Worker Pioneer Commendation Conference, commending 207 National May Day Labor Certificates, 1,035 National May Day Labor Medals, There are 1,044 national worker pioneers (including 7 certificates, 44 medals, and 20 pioneers with separate quotas). Among them, textile companies such as Jilin Carbon ValleyCarbon Fiber Co., Ltd. and Hongdou Group Co., Ltd. won the National May Day Labor Certificate, and Shanggong FuyiIntelligent Wang Junling, deputy general manager of Manufacturing(Tianjin) Co., Ltd. and many other textile workers won the National May Day Labor Medal, and Zhejiang RifaTextile Machinery Co., Ltd. Spinning Technology Textile collectives such as the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology were awarded the title of National Workers’ Pioneer.
The person in charge of the relevant departments of the ACFTU said that this year’s recognition targets will be tilted towards key industries such as the modern industrial system proposed in the report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. 51.5% of the award-winning units, 40.3% of the awarded individuals, and 36.4% of the pioneer collectives belong to the industries clearly stated in the report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. In terms of industry coverage, the commendation objects cover all 19 major industry categories except international organizations, with the majority of them being related industries such as manufacturing, transportation, warehousing and postal services, and construction. The selection and commendation attaches great importance to the selection of advanced models in the non-public economy. The proportion of non-public ownership in certificates, medals and pioneers accounted for 41.5%, 37.8% and 39% respectively, which were 6.5, 2.8 and 4 percentage points higher than the prescribed proportions.
In terms of medal candidates, the selection and commendation always adheres to the principle of facing the grassroots, facing the front line, and facing ordinary workers, focusing on industrial workers, and focusing on recommending newemploymentforms of workers and other groups. Among the candidates recommended for medals from various places, 412 were industrial workers, accounting for 41.6%; 235 were other front-line workers and professional technicians, accounting for 23.7%.
