“Ankang City 2023 Modern Sericulture Construction Deepening Year Activities Implementation Plan” was released
Recently, the Agricultural and Rural Affairs Bureau of Ankang City, Shaanxi Province issued the “Ankang City 2023 Modern Sericulture Construction Deepening Year Activities Implementation Plan”, proposing to follow “government guidance, enterprise drive, technology empowerment, brand shaping, diversification With the overall idea of ”development and industry integration”, we will optimize the industrial layout, increase technological innovation, strengthen the cultivation of entities, gather strength and strengthen the chain, and continue to promote the sericulture industry in Ankang CityTransformation and upgrading, promote highquality development of the industry, and strive to build a strong city in the country’s sericulture industry and the most influential landmark industry.
The plan clarifies the overall goals of the city’s sericulture industry in 2023: complete 25,000 acres of newly built mulberry gardens with low-cost renovation; raise 150,000 silkworms annually; produce 6,000 tons of cocoons; and achieve a comprehensive income of 3.5 billion yuan from sericulture.
The plan proposes six key tasks:
01Optimize industrial layout
Comprehensively improve the intensification and scale level of Ankang City’s sericulture base. Guide the industry to gather and develop in advantageous areas, create a number of sericulture ecological cycle development demonstration zones, and initially form a modern sericulture industrialization pattern with scientific layout, rational division of labor, and coordinated development in the city.
02Consolidate the industrial foundation
Focusing on high-standard garden construction, low-yield transformation, promotion of improved varieties, soil improvement, and improved facilities, we will promote excellent varieties such as Qiangsang 5, Qiangsang 1, Nongsang 14, and Yu 711, and moderately develop protein mulberry, Functional mulberry varieties such as fruit mulberry. Vigorously promote the “9215” grain and mulberry intercropping model, actively promote new machines and tools for mulberry orchard management, and improve the level of mechanization.
03 Strengthen subject cultivation
Focusing on the development of the entire sericulture industry chain, closely following key links such as breeding and breeding, intensive processing, new product research and development, promotion and sales, we will use leading leadership, alliance alliances, and cluster development to cultivate a number of new business entities that have a leading and demonstrative role.
04Strengthen technological support
Build the Ankang workstation, the chief expert of the national sericulture technology system; increase the promotion of new sericulture technologies and new machinery; carry out the exploration of a new model of “two-stage co-cultivation and three-stage sericulture”.
05Promote integrated development
Focusing on improving the comprehensive utilization rate of sericulture resources, we will do more research and development of sericulture by-products and continuously enrich product types. Deeply explore the sericulture culture, create a mulberry tourism route that integrates sericulture experience, picking and tasting, study practice, catering and B&B, and continuously promote the integrated development of the sericulture industry.
06 Strengthen market expansion
Utilize the cultural brand of “gilt copper silkworms” and selenium-rich resources to promote the construction of a regional public brand of “Ankang sericulture”, create “two products and one standard” and famous, special and high-quality new brands, enhance the brand awareness of Ankang sericulture, and enhance the product market Competitiveness.
In order to ensure the successful completion of the target tasks, three safeguard measures have been formulated to strengthen organizational leadership, strengthen industrial support, and strengthen supervision and assessment.
