76 contestants gathered at Guangdong Vocational and Technical College to compete in clothing design and craft skills
From March 30 to April 2, the 2022-2023 Guangdong Provincial Vocational College Student Skills Competition (Higher Vocational Group) Clothing Design and Technology Competition hosted by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education was held in Guangdong Vocational and Technical College The college (hereinafter referred to as: Guangzhou Vocational College) Gaoming Campus was successfully held. 76 players from 38 teams from 23 vocational colleges across the province competed on the same stage and showed off their talents.

Exchanges between institutions and between universities and industries can enhance understanding of the development and needs of the industry, broaden teachers’ professional horizons, effectively improve students’ professional abilities, and empower the “industry chain” with the “talent chain”.
“This is an affirmation of the school-running level and talent training quality of Guangdong Vocational College, and it is also a vivid reflection of the school’s rapid development in recent years.” After the opening ceremony of the competition, Ye Zhongming, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Guangdong Vocational College, said that in June 2019 Yueguang Vocational College hosted the clothing design and craft competition of the National Vocational College Student Skills Competition (Higher Vocational Group), showing its good spirit and excellent professional construction level to brother colleges across the country. In the past three years, the school’s connotation construction has achieved outstanding results, and its comprehensive strength has continued to improve. In September 2022, it will officially become a provincial high-level higher vocational college construction plan construction unit, providing a better competition stage for this event.
According to reports, this competition is in line with national occupational standards and the development trend of the domestic clothing industry. It is carried out around the core skills of clothing and clothing design and clothing design and technology. It is divided into two modules: clothing design and clothing pattern making and technology.
