On March 19, the first phase project of Xinjiang YuxinNew Materials Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Yuxin New Materials) was officially put into production, with a total investment of 2.9 billion yuan for construction. 300,000 tons of polyester fiber, texturing, weaving and public works projects. The company plans to build an annual production of 1 million tons of polyester fiber, texturing, weaving, printing and dyeing and supporting cogeneration projects in 6 years, opening up the “last mile” from petrochemicals to textiles and clothing.
Li Hongtao, deputy director of the Administrative Committee of Alar Economic and Technological Development Zone, said: “The commissioning of the first phase of the Yuxin New Materials Project will fill the gaps in polyester fiber production in the five northwest provinces and help attract downstream weavingFabric enterprisesinvest to further consolidate the foundation of Alar City’s textile and apparel industry.”
It is understood that the products produced by the first phase of Yuxin New Materials Project account for the largest proportion of polyester among textile fabrics, and are important materials for many downstream textile companies.
At present, in the first phase of the printing and dyeing project of Xinjiang Kuntiles Textile Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Quintiles Textile), all the polyester low-elastic yarn used in production is purchased from outside Xinjiang, and the transportation cost and transportation loss are relatively high. The commissioning of the first phase of the Yuxin New Materials Project has solved the problems faced by cotton spinning companies such as Quintiles Textiles. Companies can order at any time according to their needs, reducing transportation costs, further increasing production capacity and increasing efficiency.
In accordance with the development ideas of replenishing, extending and strengthening the chain, Alar City closely focuses on the goal of building a textile industry city, builds platforms, replenishes the chain and strengthens the cluster, and strives to build a textile and garment industry cluster. Up to now, Alar City has built 720,000 square meters of standard factory buildings and housed 45 textile and garment enterprises, including 25 above-standard textile and garment enterprises.
