Sichuan takes multiple measures to improve the quality of cocoon and silk industry

Since last year, the Sichuan Provincial Market Supervision Bureau has solidly carried out silk industry quality improvement actions, entrusted The Provincial Fiber Inspection Bureau organized experts to conduct inspections and assistance at 10 cocoon and silk enterprises in the province, reviewed a total of 1,483 relevant management documents, diagnosed 49 quality problems, and put forward 71 suggestions for improvement, fully promoting the high-quality development of Sichuan’s cocoon and silk industry.

Special training to enhance corporate quality awareness. Invite cocoon and silk industry and enterprise quality management experts in the province, and organize 56 quality managers from 3 cocoon and silk technical institutions, 5 fiber inspection institutions and 16 cocoon and silk companies in the province to carry out special training on cocoon and silk quality improvement. Guide enterprises to extensively carry out quality activities such as quality improvement, quality research, and quality management groups to further enhance corporate quality safety awareness and brand awareness, and create a good atmosphere for quality improvement in the cocoon and silk industry.

Diagnostic assistance helps enterprises to upgrade their quality. The Provincial Fiber Inspection Bureau took the lead in setting up an expert team that went to 10 cocoon and silk enterprises in 5 cities (states) to conduct on-site inspections and provide guidance on quality improvement, and conducted comprehensive quality diagnosis of the enterprises from six dimensions including management status, product quality, and brand building. 10 copies each of the “Enterprise Feedback Form”, “Improvement Suggestions List” and “Comprehensive Report” were formed.

Implement precise policies to promote high-quality development of the industry. Organize industry experts and relevant enterprises to conduct discussions and exchanges, issue a comprehensive report on quality improvement “one enterprise, one policy”, propose practical and effective solutions, and comprehensively improve enterprise quality levels and industry competitiveness.
