Jiangxi Institute of Fashion Technology holds the 2023 Alumni Work Seminar

On the afternoon of February 10, Jiangxi Institute of Fashion Technology organized the “2023 Alumni Work Seminar”.
Tu Yanping, Vice Chairman of Jiangxi Institute of Fashion Technology and President of the Alumni Association, attended the meeting, Li Ling, Bao Runcheng, deputy directors of the Employment Office (Alumni Service Center) and alumni services Staff of the center, heads of the school’s Propaganda Department, Academic Affairs Office, Entrepreneurship School and other departments, party branch secretaries of each secondary college and representatives of some retired teachers attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Tang Xinqiang, deputy secretary of the school party committee.
At the beginning of the meeting, Tu Yanping, on behalf of the school council, the Alumni Association and all teachers and students at the school, expressed a warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to all the alumni representatives who took time out of their busy schedules to attend the meeting, and extended sincere thanks to everyone Jiangfu alumni from all over the country and overseas would like to extend the most sincere greetings from their alma mater! Later, she said: “The school’s education level is changing, but the school’s positioning of being rooted in the clothing industry has never changed; the school’s education level and quality are changing, but the school’s public welfare The nature of sex education has never changed; the school’s social reputation and industry status are changing, but the school’s original intention of educating people has never changed.” The three groups of “changes” and “unchanged” are compared, and three “changes” are used to introduce Jiangfu’s new achievements in the new era, using three “unchanged” words, expressed to the alumni present Jiangfu’s determination to run a school based on the industry, its dedication to educating people, and its sincerity in serving alumni. It is hoped that the school and the alumni will form a consensus on development, and promote the sharing and comprehensive common development of the school and alumni in the fields of information, technology, scientific research results, industrial resources, talent resources, etc.
Tu Yanping said in her speech that clothing is an industry that always has demand, and it is also an industry that can reflect people’s pursuit of a better life. This industry is extremely broad and beautiful, and we must use our own strength to add more to the construction of fashion China. The rich colors make the efforts and contributions of Jiangfu people to the construction of the dream of clothing power. “Jiangfu” is the Jiangfu in the clothing industry, and it is also the harbor for each of us “Jiangfu people”.
Li Ling reported on the alumni work situation in 2022 and the alumni work plan in 2023 to the alumni present. She said that alumni work should adhere to the three concepts of service, emotion and development, and focus on the three aspects of “connecting people to gather people”, “service to gather people” and “cooperation to gather strength” to carry out alumni service work. In 2023, we will mainly work on four aspects: further “improving the institutional construction of the alumni association, strengthening the service concept of the alumni association, promoting the construction of a development community, and creating alumni cultural brand activities” to do a good job in alumni work.
Subsequently, Guo Zhiqiang, President of the Guangdong Alumni Association, Wu Haiping, President of the Zhejiang Alumni Association, Gao Xiaochun, President of the Jiangsu Alumni Association, He Yanli, President of the Fujian Alumni Association, Zheng Gaozheng, President of the Jiangxi Alumni Association, and others represented the local alumni association in 2022 Annual alumni work exchange of work experience.
At the meeting, Tang Xinqiang read out the list of nominations for outstanding alumni workers in 2022, affirming the contributions of the nominated alumni to the construction of local alumni associations in the past year.
Subsequently, Chen Wei, founder of Hangzhou Contradiction Cultural Creativity Co., Ltd. and alumnus of class 2004, shared his views on the future of the textile and apparel industry based on relevant data and factual basis on 8 phenomena that may occur in the development of the textile and apparel industry in 2023.
At the end of the meeting, Tang Xinqiang pointed out that Jiangfu is a distinctive university, and the nature of our alumni association also has distinctive characteristics – it is rooted in the garment industry. Therefore, promoting the construction of Jiangfu Alumni Association is a far-reaching matter, which is conducive to the development of the clothing industry, the development of school education, and the development of the career of each of our alumni.
Tang Xinqiang emphasized that alumni are the most valuable development resources of the school and an important driving force for the development of the school. The growth, talent, and achievements of the alumni are the tester and touchstone of the school’s teaching quality. In the alumni work in 2023, the school will further serve the development of alumni, focus on the school’s “three-step” development strategy, focus on the construction of the “development community” of the alumni association, and build a new development model of “government + industry + alma mater + alumni” , to further serve alumni and the needs of the apparel industry.
