Compared with Shenzhen, which is a national industrial design center for non-textile clothing: Shenzhen has more than 2,500 clothing brand companies in 2021, of which more than 90% are independent brands. Annual sales total nearly 270 billion yuan. Shandong Province urgently needs to improve its creative design capabilities to make it one of the core competitiveness for high-quality development of the textile and apparel industry.

In recent years, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai have firmly seized the industrial textiles opportunity, comprehensively improved the core competitiveness of industrial textiles, promoted the transformation and transformation of textile enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta, and achieved A new leap forward. Shandong Province should seize the current favorable opportunity to accelerate the construction of the textile industry innovation system, enhance the core competitiveness of the industry, and build the Shandong textile industry into a world-class industrial cluster.

Xia Dongwei pointed out that currently, there are still some problems in the prevention industry in Shandong Province.

First, it is large in size and has weak comprehensive competitive advantages. Most of the textile industries in Shandong Province are mainly production and processing, and most of them are at the middle and low end of the value chain. Their fine and deep processing capabilities are relatively weak, the proportion of end products is not high, and there are few high value-added products, especially products with core technologies and pricing power. There are not many emerging leading and technology-based chain owners. The industrial textiles industry in Shandong Province started late and developed slowly. It is influential in the country in terms of personal protection, ropes, and geotechnical engineering. However, the layout of industrial textiles in the fields of medical health, environmental protection, construction, transportation, aerospace, etc. is still significantly lagging behind. other provinces.

Second, the enterprise’s ability to innovate independently is not strong. Textile and garment enterprises are mostly private enterprises and do not have the ability to independently introduce and maintain innovativetalents. They do not have suitable platforms and channels to obtain the needed scientific research results. They want to produce but cannot produce. Introducing and failing to introduce, the independent innovation is inadequate but insufficient. As a result, independent intellectual property rights have not been formed in the research and development of “stuck” key products and technologies such as new fiber materials and smart textiles, advanced textiles, dyeing and finishing technologies and high value-added textiles Processing capabilities also need to be improved urgently.

Third, there is insufficient motivation to transform achievements in Shandong Province. Scientific and technological innovation resources in the textile industry are scattered, and the on-site conversion rate of the achievements of textile universities and scientific research institutes is low.
