1. The industry work is fruitful and contributes to the stable development of the economy and society

Since the beginning of this year, industry development has been under pressure due to unexpected factors such as insufficient demand. From January to October, the industrial added value of enterprises above designated size in the textile industry decreased by 0.9% year-on-year; the retail sales of clothing, shoes, hats, and needlework textiles by enterprises above designated size nationwide was 1,041.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 4.4%; textile enterprises above designated size achieved profits of 147.18 billion yuan , a year-on-year decrease of 25.7%. The entire Chinese textile industry has overcome difficulties and maintained overall stability in industry development. Some future-oriented structural indicators have outstanding performance.

From the perspective of scale advantages, from January to October, the country’s 35,000 textile enterprises above designated size achieved operating income of 4.20714 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.7%. Online channel sales rebounded, with national online retail sales of clothing products increasing by 5.3% year-on-year, a growth rate that was 0.6 percentage points faster than the first three quarters.

From the perspective of competitiveness, from January to November, the national textile and clothing exports were US$297.63 billion, a year-on-year increase of 4.5%. Among them, textile exports were US$136.93 billion, a year-on-year increase of 4.7%; clothing exports were US$160.7 billion, a year-on-year increase of 4.3%. Since the beginning of this year, the growth rate of my country’s textile and apparel exports to ASEAN has remained above 20%.

From the perspective of structural adjustment, the demand for intelligentization, green transformation and industrial layout optimization of enterprises has been released, and investment in the textile industry has achieved rapid growth. From January to October, the investment growth rates in the textile industry, clothing industry, and chemical fiber industry were 6.0%, 28.4%, and 27.0% respectively.

The development of the industry plays an irreplaceable role in stabilizing economic development, balancing the international balance of payments, creatingemploymentspace, and promoting the improvement of people’s livelihood. It is a stabilizer in the national economy. ballast stone.
