On November 5, the Sericulture Development Service Center of Lushan County, Henan Province issued a series of reward and subsidy policies to promote the development of specialty industries. The reward and subsidy policies will be implemented from the 14th of this month.

Lushan County is the ecological origin of the national unified tussah silkworm. Silkworm production has a long history of thousands of years. Over the years, the County Sericulture Development Service Center has actively explored and utilized the resource advantages of mountainous areas to vigorously develop tussah silkworm production and lead people to develop industries and Help people get rich.

The reward and subsidy policy announced this time is:

——For sericulture farmers who purchase improved seeds from silkworm seed production units and have complete purchase receipts, subsidies of 600 yuan and 1,000 yuan will be given for every kilogram of silkworm seeds stocked. After verification, a protective price policy of 50 yuan/kg will be implemented for farmers who sell silkworm cocoons to cocoonsilk enterprises and silkworm breeding farms in the county.

——The townships (towns, offices) and related units that have achieved remarkable results in the development of sericulture production and are ranked in the top 3 after assessment will be awarded the honorary title of “Advanced Units in Sericulture Production” and will be awarded 10,000 yuan and 5,000 yuan respectively. and a reward of 3,000 yuan.

——Administrative villages with a breeding capacity of more than 15 kilograms and an average yield (1 kilogram of silkworm eggs and cocoons) exceeding the county’s average yield will be awarded the “Advanced Silkworm Production Village” if they rank among the top three after assessment. Honorary titles, and rewards of 5,000 yuan, 3,000 yuan and 2,000 yuan respectively.

——Every year, 10 individuals with outstanding achievements in sericulture are selected and awarded the honorary title of “Advanced Individuals in County Sericulture Production” and corresponding material rewards are given.

——For sericulture households that raise more than 1.25 kilograms and have an average yield (cocoons produced by 1 kilogram of silkworm seeds) of more than 450 kilograms, they will be awarded the honorary title of “Sericulture Production Demonstration Household” and will be given a reward of 1,000 yuan.
