Hulunbuir Municipal Agricultural and Animal Husbandry Science Research Institute carries out the inspection of tussah silkworm breeding period in the city
From August 29 to 31, 2022, sericulture technicians from the Hulunbuir City Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Science Institute and technicians from the Arong Banner Sericulture Technology Promotion Center formed a 2022 tussah breeding period inspection and inspection team to inspect 155 silkworms in the city. Tussah silkworm breeds (including: 7 nursery breeders, 18 breeding breeders, and 130 egg-bearing breeders) were inspected during the silkworm period. According to the “Hulunbuir City Tussah Seed Breeding and Inspection Regulations”, the silkworm stage inspection mainly checks whether the degree of leaf eating and incidence rate indicators meet the requirements of this level of cocoons, and the on-site decision will be made to retain the grade or downgrade or downgrade it. After three days of hard work by the inspection team, 155 seed cocoons of all levels in the city met the requirements for seed cocoons at this level, and the inspection results were qualified.
At the summary meeting, the inspection team gave opinions on improper stocking operations in breeding units, selection of silkworm varieties during the period, pest control measures, and effective prevention and control of tussah particulate disease. The breeding unit also expressed that it would listen carefully to the opinions of the inspection team and make timely corrections. Passing the silkworm stage inspection will effectively improve thequality of silkworm seeds, provide guarantee for a high and stable yield of tussah production next year, and contribute to rural revitalization.
