Based on a comprehensive analysis of the agro-meteorological conditions since cotton bloomed in Xinjiang, cotton growth and development status at various monitoring points, future weather and climate trends, and meteorological prediction model results during the cotton tufting period, it is estimated that cotton tulling will occur in most cotton areas in Xinjiang in 2022 The period is obviously earlier than normal. Among them: Turpan City has currently opened lint. North Xinjiang Cotton District and Kashgar Cotton District have successively entered the lint removal period from mid-to-late August to the end of August. Bazhou Cotton District, Aksu Cotton District, and Kezhou Cotton District have started to open lint in early September. Hami City Cotton District has District, Hotan cotton district in mid-September.
All cotton regions should pay attention to the forecast of the suitable spraying period of defoliant for machine-picked cotton, and make preparations for spraying defoliant on machine-picked cotton as early as possible to promote high-quality, high yield and bumper harvest of cotton this year.
