Hubei No.1 Biological Breeding R&D Center Settled in Bole City, Xinjiang

On July 28, the North Xinjiang Experimental Station of Cotton Breeding of Huazhong Agricultural University, the Northern Xinjiang Experimental Station of Cotton Breeding of Hubei Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and the Industry-Academic-Research Base of School of Agriculture of Shihezi University were inaugurated in Wutubulage Town, Bole City, Xinjiang . The three major experimental stations will further improve breeding research and development capabilities, develop and cultivate high-quality, high-tech cotton seeds, jointly promote the revitalization and development of Xinjiang’s seed industry, and provide scientific and technological support for Hubei’s industrial aid to Xinjiang to improve the quality and efficiency.

In 2015, in response to Hubei Province’s call of “industry aiding Xinjiang, science and technology aiding Xinjiang”, Hubei Chuchuang Hi-Tech Agriculture Co., Ltd. took the initiative and took the lead in formulating the development idea of “industry aiding Xinjiang, science and technology first”, investing in Xinjiang Chuchuang Hi-tech Seed Industry Co., Ltd. was established with 10 million yuan to introduce the most advanced technology, talents and management concepts into Xinjiang.

Xinjiang Chuchuang High-tech Seed Co., Ltd. is mainly engaged in the research and development, production, processing and marketing of biological seeds for cotton and corn, the two main crops. Currently, the company has a close relationship with Huazhong Agriculture The university, Hubei Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and Shihezi University have established school-enterprise cooperation, and many experts and professors have stationed at the company’s scientific research experimental station to carry out relevant research work.

It is understood that the company’s high-quality cotton biological breeding work currently has more than 4,000 cotton scientific research materials, and more than 200 new cotton strains independently bred, of which 3 outstanding strains are planned to apply for regional experiments at all levels; hybrid corn is fully integrated We collected advantageous resources from Northeast China and Central China and screened more than 2,000 pieces of scientific research materials. Three cotton varieties approved by Xinjiang have been put on the market. The scientific research team of Professor Zhang Xianlong of Huazhong Agricultural University has successfully introduced the latest nationally approved variety Huamian 702 in the northwest inland cotton region. The total annual cotton seed production area is nearly 10,000 acres, and the annual production of high-quality seeds is nearly 10,000 acres. 1,500 tons; two approved clearing and storage corn varieties have been deployed and demonstrated throughout Xinjiang.
