National Cotton Industry Alliance: A new path to create a cotton spinning industry brand
The National Cotton Industry Alliance (CCIA for short) has established more than 50 CCIA high-quality cotton production bases through the use of scientific cotton planting technology and coordinated development of industry, academia and research. The upper, middle and lower reaches of the industry are developing collaboratively, and more and more enterprises and planting entities are joining the chain of demand-based production.
Technological empowerment enables production capacity improvement
Since 2016, the China Cotton Alliance has focused on promoting the development of in-depth integration of industry, academia and research. The National Cotton Alliance has selected and bred more than 20 new high-quality cotton varieties with good early maturity, high quality, stable yield and multiple resistance, suitable for full-process mechanized production management and mechanical harvesting, and suitable for the needs of textile enterprises to produce mid-to-high-end textiles. The results of the trial spinning have achieved textile results. Highly recognized by clothing companies.
It is worth mentioning that high-quality varieties such as Zhong 641, China Cotton Institute 96A, Zhong 087, and Zhong 109 cultivated by the China Cotton Alliance have become the main varieties grown in Xinjiang cotton areas.
At the same time, Xinjiang’s “Kuan Zao You” green, high-quality, high-yielding and efficient comprehensive cotton planting technology model developed by the China Cotton Alliance won the “Top Ten Scientific and Technological Progress” of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 2018, and was also selected as the main recommendation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs in 2021 technology. Compared with the “low density and early” technology model, this technical model has outstanding advantages in increasing temperature and increasing light, reducing pesticides and cost, increasing production and efficiency, and being green and high-quality. It solves the key technical problems in my country’s high-quality cotton production and is gradually becoming a The Xinjiang cotton area mainly promotes the technology and has fully applied it in the CCIA high-quality cotton production base.
On this basis, the China Cotton Alliance has also organized relevant cotton processing enterprises to carry out in-depth research on high-quality machine-picked cotton loss-reducing ginning technology, and to reduce machine-picked seed cotton. Focusing on the damage of fiber length, the “flexible” blowroom and ginning processing technology of high-quality seed cotton has been developed and applied to ensure the raw cotton quality of high-quality cotton.
While strengthening scientific and technological collaborative innovation in the entire industry chain, the China Cotton Alliance has established a technical consortium of “scientific research institutes + scientific and technological enterprises + cooperatives + agriculture and industry”, and established a joint county scientific and technological service team to carry out cotton throughout the growth period. With technical guidance, we have realized the integrated operation of “seeds-water-fertilizer-medicine-machinery” and have established more than 50 CCIA high-quality cotton production bases with an area of more than 3 million acres and an annual output value of more than 400,000 tons.
Brand leadership creates industry benchmarks
When the China Cotton Alliance was established, it created China’s own cotton brand – the CCIA brand. Its series of registered trademarks cover products in all aspects of the cotton industry chain.
At present, the CCIA brand has authorized many domestic enterprises to promote and operate, and has completed the large-scale manufacturing of high-quality CCIA fabrics and clothing from CCIA cotton to 140, 160, and 200 yarn counts. At the same time, we will jointly organize activities with relevant brand companies to promote CCIA high-quality cotton and CCIA brand.
While building a national cotton brand matrix with the CCIA logo, the China Cotton Alliance takes technological innovation as its starting point, mainly focusing on high-quality cotton varieties, seeds, raw cotton, In terms of yarn, fabric, clothing “products” and high-quality cotton production, processing, textile and clothing “base”, the principle of “qualitative + quantitative” is adopted to build a domestic entire industry chain focusing on green, sustainable and high quality. Cotton standard system.
Since 2017, the “CCIA Cotton Production Technical Guidelines”, “CCIA Cotton Processing Technical Guidelines”, “CCIA Cotton Standard System”, “CCIA Mid-to-High-Quality Cotton Varieties” and “CCIA Cotton Seeds” have been formulated and implemented #FF8040″>Quality” “CCIA Cotton Processing Technical Regulations” and “CCIA High-end Quality Fine Staple Cotton (Raw Cotton)” and other technical guides and 7 group standards.
In the future, the China Cotton Alliance will strengthen the international construction and promotion of CCIA standards and integrate the China Cotton CCIA standards and certification into the entire cotton spinning industry chain.
Create an industrial collaborative innovation ecosystem
my country’s cotton spinning industry is accelerating the transformation from policy-driven to market-driven, from priority in key areas to large-scale promotion, from the initial stage to the accelerated development period, and industrial development has ushered in a rare historical opportunity.
Facing the market drive, in order to improve the competitiveness of domestic cotton, the China Cotton Alliance vigorously promotes the “one factory, one product” closed-loop operation model to achieve single planting, single harvesting, single rolling and single group batching of single varieties to ensure CCIA Large-scale production of high-quality cotton, the quality of raw cotton is “good consistency, low impurity content, and low three-strand yarn”.
The China Cotton Alliance organizes relevant production, processing, textile, clothing units and brand owners to carry out CCIA high-quality cotton order production, purchase and sales in a market-oriented manner, and promotes high-quality and low-price, high-quality cotton and the deep integration of “three industries”. At present, the total order area has reached more than 600,000 acres, the output can reach nearly 100,000 tons, the quality of commercial cotton has improved by 1 to 2 levels on average, and the average price increase per ton has been more than 1,000 yuan.
At the same time, the China Cotton Alliance cooperates with the Zhengzhou Cotton Trading Market to build the “CCIA Raw Cotton Trading Center” and cooperates with relevant textile companies to build the “CCIA High-Quality Cotton Textile Base” to promote the construction of CCIA’s high-quality cotton supply chain.
It is precisely to developHigh-quality cotton is a common demand. Today, the China Cotton Alliance has gathered 208 enterprises and institutions in the entire cotton industry chain, uniting scattered individuals according to the layout of “technical side + production side + demand side”.
The China Cotton Alliance is engaged in scientific and technological collaborative innovation and promotion of achievements, construction of high-quality cotton production bases and supply chains, construction of full-process product quality control standards and traceability systems, cultivation and promotion of the China Cotton CCIA brand, and construction of a deep integration mechanism for cotton’s “three industries” A lot of innovative work has been done in other aspects to create an industrial collaborative innovation ecosystem, implement a new development pattern with the domestic cycle as the main body and domestic and international dual cycles that promote each other, ensure the stability of the international supply chain, and enhance the international competitiveness of my country’s cotton spinning industry.
