Characteristics of TPU composite fabric
The advantages and disadvantages of TPU composite fabrics. TPU composite fabrics are made of TPU films laminated on various fabrics to form a composite material. A new type of fabric is obtained by combining the characteristics of the two.
TPU (thermoplastic polyurethanes), thermoplastic polyurethane, is a linear block copolymer composed of oligomer polyol soft segments and diisocyanate-chain extender hard segments. TPU can be made into thin films by casting, blowing, calendering or coating. It has the advantages of good elasticity, strength, wear resistance, good cold resistance, environmental protection and non-toxicity.
The name of tpu composite fabric/fabric is thermoplastic elastomer rubber. This material can soften under a certain heat, while the composite cloth can remain unchanged at normal temperature. It is used in shoes to provide stable support. tpu composite fabric/fabric The main features are as follows:
Wide range of hardness: By changing the ratio of the reaction components of TPU composite fabric/cloth, tent cloth can obtain products with different hardness, and as the hardness increases, its products still maintain good elasticity and wear resistance.
High mechanical strength: TPU composite fabrics/cloth products have outstanding load-bearing capacity, impact resistance and shock absorption properties.
Outstanding cold resistance: The glass transition temperature of TPU composite fabric/cloth is relatively low, and the canvas factory still maintains good elasticity, flexibility and other physical properties at minus 35 degrees.
Good processing performance: TPU composite fabric/cloth can be processed using common thermoplastic material processing methods, such as injection molding, extrusion, calendering, etc. At the same time, co-processing of TPU composite fabrics/cloths with certain polymer materials can produce polymer alloys with complementary properties.
Oil, water and mold resistant. Good recyclability.
There are two ways to make TPU composite fabrics. One is called post-pasting: first make a TPU film and then glue it with the fabric. The other is called online lamination: apply glue on the fabric or not glue it, and directly put the TPU on it. The fabric is made of TPU composite fabric or mesh fabric.
Generally, the factories that do post-pasting processing are not large in scale. There are many small factories in China. The post-pasting process requires the TPU film to be subjected to high temperature and high pressure again. Improper process control will cause damage to the film and even small holes.
At present, only a few companies such as Dongguan Fengxiang Laminating Factory have mature equipment and technology. In fact, Dongguan Fengxiang’s laminating technology was also imported from Taiwan and improved. Currently, it is a domestic manufacturer specializing in inflatable life jackets, medical inflatable products, and massage air bag fabrics.
The uses of TPU composite fabrics include: inflatable life jackets, diving BC jackets, life rafts, inflatable boats, inflatable tents, military inflatable self-expanding mattresses, massage air bags, medical anti-decubitus mattresses and professional waterproof backpacks.
Features of hot melt adhesive film composite products:
1. The production cost of hot melt adhesive film composite products is low.
2. The bonding fastness is stronger and has significant advantages compared with traditional glue.
3. Mildew-proof, light-transmitting, environmentally friendly, non-toxic and odorless.
4. The hot melt adhesive film laminating machine improves work efficiency, is easy to operate and saves labor, processes and costs.
5. Avoid loose surface, the overall molding effect is good, and it can directly replace the styling cloth on some products.
6. In the environment where hot melt adhesive film composite cloth is produced, the clean, neat and pollution-free characteristics are reflected in the exquisiteness, which is conducive to safe production.
