Flame-retardant fabrics are mainly divided into two categories: flame-retardant fiber fabrics and flame-retardant finishing fabrics.
There are currently two common flame retardant fabric finishing processes, Proban flame retardant finishing technology and Pyrovatex CP flame retardant finishing technology. Two different production lines have been established according to different production processes.
Proban flame retardant treatment technology is patented by the British Rhodia Company. The principle is to use polyphosphoric acid chemical additives and a unique finishing process to treat cotton fiber fabrics to accelerate the carbonization of the fabric when exposed to heat and form an isolation layer. The fabric will immediately stop burning and achieve self-extinguishing, reducing the time for continued burning and smoldering. Extremely short and flame retardant. The Proban process flow is as follows:
Padding flame retardant finishing solution – pre-baking (100-120℃) – ammonia fumigation – oxidation – washing – drying – tenter shaping – pre-shrinking – finished product
CP flame retardant The processing technology is patented by Ciba Fine Chemicals Company of Switzerland. The principle is to use Pyrovatex CP New’s patented flame-retardant chemical additives and its process technology to treat cotton fiber fabrics, which greatly shortens the time of after-burning and smoldering and quickly self-extinguishes, and has flame-retardant properties. Flame-retardant fabrics treated with CP flame-retardant treatment technology have good washability. Generally speaking, the flame-retardant index is still within the standard requirements after being washed more than 50 times. High-quality flame-retardant fabrics can not only effectively retard flames, but also extend the service life of flame-retardant protective clothing. Therefore, it is necessary to choose high-quality flame-retardant fabrics.
