Dobby design tips for woven fabrics

Among woven fabrics, dobby fabrics are known for their colorful and unique features. The characteristics of beauty, elegance, quietness, and richness of change are loved by many consumers. In the textile industry, since woven dobby jacquards can generally be changed and produce a variety of patterns by simply changing the heddle lifting sequence, yarn arrangement during warping, etc., the variety modification cost is low, the change is fast, and it is economical. practical.

1The relationship between fabric surface gloss and organizational structure

Different fabric structures have different surface gloss levels. Taking plain weave, twill weave and satin weave as an example, due to the relatively gradual reduction of interweaving points and the number of bends, the floating length gradually changes from shorter to longer, so the gloss gradually changes from dark to bright.

Plain weave has no front and back sides, while twill and satin weave have front and back sides; twill weave also has diagonal lines to the left or right.

2 Differences in reflected light of different raw materials and fabrics

The reflected light of fiber raw materials and the appearance of dyed fabrics are affected by many factors. The factors that affect the light reflected by the fiber include: the thickness of the array; the radius of the fiber; the concentration of the dye; the extinction coefficient of the dye fiber aggregate; the distribution of the dye concentration in the fiber; the refractive index ratio of the fiber itself and the impregnation liquid used, etc. Fibers with different raw materials and different processes have widely varying conditions for reflected light, which are color differences compared to each other.

The appearance of dyed fabrics depends on: the denier of the fiber; the cross-sectional shape of the fiber; the matting agent and cavities present in the fiber; the surface roughness or smoothness of the fiber; the degree of fiber curl; and the yarn structure (Including twist, tension and deformation processing); fabric structure. In addition, using different combinations of factors that affect the appearance of dyed fabrics will produce local differences in reflected light on the fabric surface after dyeing and other treatments.

3. The formation of dobby on woven fabrics

The formation of woven fabric doily is mainly based on the principle of differences in gloss, lightness, and organizational structure of different fabric tissues, and cleverly changes the arrangement of different tissues to form jacquard. Or use different raw materials, different processing techniques, different colors, etc. to bring about differences in fiber reflection, appearance, dyeing color absorption, etc., as well as dyeing color differences caused by different appearance conditions of dyed fabrics, etc., determine the use of different warp and weft yarns. To make the jacquard pattern formed more obvious, more three-dimensional and beautiful.
