Weft supply mechanism (mechanical length measurement)
There are generally two forms of yarn supply mechanisms for water-jet looms: mechanical length measurement and electronic length measurement. Currently, single-jet loom models generally adopt mechanical length measurement, while double-jet loom models adopt electronic length measurement.
1. Mechanical length measurement
There are two commonly used forms: RS length measurement form and RD length measurement form.
(1) RS length measurement form (Figure 3-9)
Principle: The power is driven by the main shaft pulley 6 through the flat belt 7 to drive the length measuring wheel 2. The length measuring drum and the length measuring wheel are on the same axis. , when the length measuring axis rotates, it will also rotate at the same time. One end of the weft yarn is held by the yarn presser, and the other end is the free end. The weft yarn is tightly pressed against the surface of the length measuring drum by the high-speed rotating eddy current, and the weft yarn is wrapped around the length measuring drum by relying on the friction between the weft yarn and the length measuring drum. , to complete the action of storing weft, the setting of its length depends on changing the transmission ratio relationship between the length measuring wheel 2 and the main shaft pulley 6.
(2) RD length measurement form (Figure 3-10)
Principle: The power is driven by the main shaft pulley 4 through the flat belt 2 to drive the length measuring wheel 3. It is basically the same as RS, except that the yarn feeding path is different, which will not be described again.
