India strives to increase man-made fiber textile production
As the Indian industry strives to increase the production of man-made fiber textiles, the country’s Parliamentary Standing Committee on Labor discussed the industry with the heads of the Textile Industry Association in Tiruppur. demand, and efforts to increase the country’s man-made fiber (MMF) textile production.
According to a National Textile and Clothing Council (NCTC) press release, the committee headed by Bhartruhari Mahtab also visited some industries in Coimbatore and Tiruppur.
Union Textile Ministry officials explained that the ministry has proposed plans and suggestions aimed at enhancing the global competitiveness of the Indian textile and apparel industry and increasing the country’s MMF production. Principal Secretary, Handlooms and Textiles Department, Government of Tamil Nadu, briefing on the efforts of the state government to increase MMF production facilities. He pointed out that according to the large-scale textile park plan, it is planned to build two large-scale textile parks in the country. The state will specifically focus on increasing production of functional textiles.
