China Cotton Textile Industry Association: The main economic indicators of the industry improved significantly from January to April

From January to April, the operating income of “key clusters” fell by 1.1% year-on-year, and operating costs fell by 0.5% year-on-year.
Secondly, exports are gradually improving. From January to April, the export delivery value of “key enterprises” fell by 12.92% year-on-year, and the decline narrowed by 2.03 percentage points from January to March. From January to April, the export delivery value of “key clusters” increased by 9.5% year-on-year, which was related to the low level last year.
In addition, the profit decline narrowed. From January to April, the industrial added value of “key enterprises” fell by 7.69% year-on-year, and the rate of decline narrowed by 6.05 percentage points from January to March. From January to April, the total profits of “key enterprises” fell by 10.31% year-on-year, and the decline rate was 14.93 percentage points narrower than that from January to March; the profit margin fell by 0.33% year-on-year, and the decline rate was narrowed by 0.38 percentage points from January to March. From January to April, the industrial added value of “key clusters” increased by 4.0% year-on-year, and total profits fell by 50.3% year-on-year.
The China Cotton Textile Industry Association said that overall, in April, China’s economy continued to recover, positive factors accumulated and the economic indicators of the cotton textile industry gradually improved. However, we must also note that the international environment is still complex and severe, demand is still insufficient, and domestic consumption capacity and consumer confidence still need to be improved.
