On April 8, 2023, Professor Dai Fangyin, chief scientist of the National Sericulture Industry Technology System, Yangtze River Scholar, and Dean of the School of Sericulture, Textile and Biomass Science of Southwest University, was invited to Jiangsu University of Science and Technology for research and guidance.
During the investigation, Chief Dai Fangyin went to the sericulture research base to inspect the National Mulberry Germplasm Resource Nursery (Zhenjiang) and the National Silkworm Genetic Resources Gene Bank (Jiangsu), and participated in the national sericulture industry technology system position scientist symposium. At the symposium, four position scientists from Jiangsu University of Science and Technology, Liu Li, Zhao Weiguo, Qian Heying, and Zhang Yeshun, reported on the personnel composition, main research directions and annual work arrangements of their positions. After listening to the report, the acting chief reviewed the system construction process and made precise comments on the work of each position. He said that the launch meeting of the National Sericulture Industry Technology System was held in Zhenjiang in 2008, which reflected the important position of the Sericulture Research Institute in my country’s sericulture industry.
