Brazil launches anti-dumping review investigation into Chinese synthetic fiber knitted fabrics

Recently, the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Trade notified the Economic and Commercial Counselor’s Office of the Chinese Embassy in Brazil, informing them that according to the Brazilian Foreign Trade Commission’s Notice No. 20 of 2016 published in the official daily newspaper on April 7, it decided to ban synthetic products originating in China. Fiber knitted fabrics (malhasdeviscose) initiated an anti-dumping review investigation. The Mercosur tax numbers of the products involved are 60041041, 60041042, 60041043, 60041044, 60049040, 60064100, 60064200, 60064300 and 60064400. The dumping investigation period in this case was from July 2014 to June 2015, and the damage analysis period was from July 2010 to June 2015. Brazil plans to use the price of South Korea’s exports to Indonesia to calculate the normal value of the products involved. Chinese manufacturers and exporters can express their opinions on the choice of alternative countries within 70 days from the filing of the case.
