In the past two years, Baibao Village has closely followed the idea of vigorously developing the mulberry industry put forward by the Shangsi County Party Committee and County Government, and has invested more than 1.2 million yuan to build a mulberry garden of nearly 80 acres of continuous planting of mulberry trees, and built A 540-square-meter standardized silkworm house and supporting related facilities were built to carry out standardized silkworm breeding, and strive to build the first batch of standardized mulberry breeding and silkworm breeding demonstration bases in Shangsi County. After the base is fully and normally operated, it can achieve an annual output of 5,000 kilograms of silkworm cocoons and an annual output value of about 270,000 yuan. It can radiate and drive more than 770 households in the village to grow mulberry and raise silkworms to increase their income and become rich.

Tang Lijian, the first secretary of the village, said that Baibao Village will further develop the mechanism of linking farmers with farmers and fully mobilize the villagers to plant mulberry and raise sericulture, so as to promote the development of mulberry industry in the whole village.
