On May 17, the 20th joint meeting of China Textile Industry Federation and China Finance, Trade, Light Textile and Tobacco Trade Union was held in Beijing.

Wang Qian said that the main tasks planned by both parties in 2023 include: First, select and publicize advanced models and promote the spirit of model workers, labor spirit, and craftsman spirit. Xia Lingmin, Secretary-General of the China Textile and Apparel Industry Federation, reported on the economic operation of the textile industry. Xia Lingmin said that since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the textile industry has always focused on the new development orientation of “technology, fashion, and green” and accelerated the transformation from Made in China to China’s Creation and China’s Speed. Chinese quality and Chinese products are transformed into Chinese brands. Research by the Chinese Academy of Engineering shows that the textile industry has become one of the five industries in which my country’s manufacturing industry is at the world’s leading level.

Zhu Chao, director of the Human Resources Department of China Textile Federation and director of the Textile Industry Vocational Skills Appraisal Guidance Center, introduced the vocational skills competition held by China Textile Federation in 2022 and related work in 2023. In 2023, we will continue to hold the national textile industry “garment pattern maker”, “sewing worker (filter bag)”, “spinner (spinning machine operator)”, “weaver (water jet loom)” and “textile equipment maintenance worker” occupations competition.

Yin Qiang, deputy director of the Information Technology Department of China Textile Federation, reported on the progress of the digital transformation labor competition in the textile industry. He introduced that the digital transformation labor competition was launched in the textile industry for the first time, involving multiple subdivisions such as enterprises, industrial clusters, industrial parks, and their collectives and individuals. Yan Yan, director of the Social Responsibility Office of China Textile Federation, introduced the cooperation projects between the two parties in the field of social responsibility.
