A joint meeting between China Textile Federation and China Finance, Trade, Light Textile and Tobacco Trade Union was held
On May 17, the 20th joint meeting of China Textile Industry Federation and China Finance, Trade, Light Textile and Tobacco Trade Union was held in Beijing.
Zou Zhen, secretary of the Secretariat of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and member of the leading party group, Wang Qian, chairman of the China Finance, Trade, Light, Textile and Tobacco Trade Union, Sun Ruizhe, president of the China Textile and Apparel Industry Federation, secretary-general Xia Lingmin and other relevant leaders attended the meeting.
Wang Qian, chairman of the China Finance, Trade, Light Textile and Tobacco Trade Union, reported at the meeting the work status of the cooperation between the two parties in 2022 and the work that has been carried out and planned for 2023. Wang Qian said that the convening of the joint meeting is of great significance for building consensus, deepening cooperation, promoting the construction and reform of the industrial worker team in the textile industry, and promoting the highquality development of the industry.
Wang Qian introduced that in 2022, the China Textile Federation and the China Finance, Trade, Light, Textile and Tobacco Trade Union will focus on deepening the selection and promotion of advanced models in the textile industry; extensively carrying out labor and skills competitions in the textile industry; building a work brand to improve employee skills and quality; and safeguarding labor A lot of work has been done in terms of relations and harmony and stability of the workforce.
Wang Qian said that the main tasks planned by both parties in 2023 include: First, select and publicize advanced models and promote the spirit of model workers, labor spirit, and craftsman spirit. Carry out the fourth batch of “Chinese Textile Craftsmen” recommendation and learning activities; carry out the “Most Beautiful Textile Workers” recommendation activity; carry out the “Zhao Mengtao Group National Textile Industry Excellent Team” creation activity and the 60th anniversary commemoration of the naming of “Zhao Mengtao Group” (completed ).
The second is to carry out labor and skills competitions to promote high-quality development of the industry. Launch a labor competition for the digital transformation of the textile industry; continue to carry out a labor competition for green development in the textile industry; and launch an industry vocational skills competition.
The third is to carry out skills training exchanges to promote the improvement of employees’ skills and quality. Carry out skills training and exchange activities for textile and garmentindustrial cluster employees; launch the sixth textile industry technical experts to send technology to Xinjiang; continue to opencotton Textile industry “Golden Blue Collar Network University”; establish “China Textile Craftsman College”.
The fourth is to maintain the stability of the industrial worker ranks and promote harmonious labor relations. Carry out activities to create harmonious labor relations in the textile industry; continue to support the creation of “family-friendly enterprises in the textile industry”; jointly safeguard political security in the labor field of the textile industry, and plan to conduct research on the current employment status and trends in the textile and garment industry.
Xia Lingmin, Secretary-General of the China Textile and Apparel Industry Federation, reported on the economic operation of the textile industry. Xia Lingmin said that since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the textile industry has always focused on the new development orientation of “technology, fashion, and green” and accelerated the transformation from Made in China to China’s Creation and China’s Speed. Chinese quality and Chinese products are transformed into Chinese brands. Research by the Chinese Academy of Engineering shows that the textile industry has become one of the five industries in which my country’s manufacturing industry is at the world’s leading level.
Xia Lingmin introduced that due to the severe external development environment, weak market demand, high raw material costs, complex trade environment and other risk factors, the economic operation of my country’s textile industry will be under pressure and slow in 2022. 2023 is the first year for the textile industry to fully implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. The development situation is full of challenges and opportunities. In the first quarter of this year, industry production was generally stable, consumption gradually picked up, the decline in exports narrowed, and efficiency improvement came under pressure. Xia Lingmin emphasized that although the current industrial development is facing certain pressures, the industry development remains resilient and entrepreneurs have strong confidence. It is expected that with the support of the domestic market, the textile industry will gradually return to a stable operating track of in-depth structural adjustment and efforts to promote high-quality development in 2023.
Zhu Chao, director of the Human Resources Department of China Textile Federation and director of the Textile Industry Vocational Skills Appraisal Guidance Center, introduced the vocational skills competition held by China Textile Federation in 2022 and related work in 2023. In 2023, we will continue to hold the national textile industry “garment pattern maker”, “sewing worker (filter bag)”, “spinner (spinning machine operator)”, “weaver (water jet loom)” and “textile equipment maintenance worker” occupations competition.
Yin Qiang, deputy director of the Information Technology Department of China Textile Federation, reported on the progress of the digital transformation labor competition in the textile industry. He introduced that the digital transformation labor competition was launched in the textile industry for the first time, involving multiple subdivisions such as enterprises, industrial clusters, industrial parks, and their collectives and individuals. It has been included in the ACFTU’s “14th Five-Year Plan” national leading labor and skills competition project library. Currently, all work is being carried out in an orderly manner as planned.
Yan Yan, director of the Social Responsibility Office of China Textile Federation, introduced the cooperation projects between the two parties in the field of social responsibility. She said that in 2022, the two parties will cooperate to carry out management system support research and in-depth discussions on labor topics, and actively strive for corresponding policy support; in 2023, they will cooperate to carry out the 2023-2024 “Family Friendly Enterprise Project” and “The impact of order fluctuations on the employment of textile and garment enterprises” “Influence” research.

Sun Ruizhe emphasized that the core of Chinese-style modernization is the modernization of people, and the modernization level of industrial workers determines the quality of the modernization of the industrial system. We must connect the needs of Chinese-style modernization with the requirements of the modern industrial system, and use greater efforts and more practical measures to create a strong team of textile industry workers who have ideals and beliefs, understand technology and innovate, and dare to take responsibility and make contributions.
