Guangzhou held a research symposium on improving quality, efficiency, transformation and upgrading of the garment industry

On April 26, in order to promote the high quality development of Guangzhou’s clothing production and manufacturing and promote the steady growth of the industrial economy, Ma Shu, Deputy Secretary-General of the Guangzhou Municipal People’s Government Led a team to carry out research and discussions on improving the quality and efficiency of Guangzhou’s garment industry transformation and upgrading.

The research symposium was chaired by Ma Shu, deputy secretary-general of the Guangzhou Municipal People’s Government and deputy chain leader of Guangzhou’s “chain-length system” clothing industry chain. The meeting focused on discussions and exchanges around the “stuck” issues in the apparel industry with accessories, processes, equipment, etc., empowerment of the “four modernizations”, supporting producer service industries, construction of production and manufacturing industrial parks, and the strengthening and expansion of enterprises. Relevant departments of the municipal government also responded on-site to the demands, opinions and suggestions raised by the enterprises.

Before the meeting, Deputy Secretary-General Ma Shu and his delegation also inspected and researched the Guangdong Garment and Apparel Industry Association and Guangzhou Pinjian Clothing Co., Ltd.
