The Hechi Textile City project located in Yizhou Economic Development Zone has a total investment of 5 billion yuan. Currently, Hechi is working hard to build a 100-billion-dollar mulberry cocoon silk industry. Since 2022, Hechi City has seized the strategic opportunity of “Silk from East to West”, deeply implemented the cocoon and silk industry chain replenishment action, and built three investment platforms including Textile City, Zhejiang Silk Industrial Park, and Suzhou Silk Industrial Park to attract powerful companies. Enterprises invested and purchased properties in Hechi to complete the silk refining and dyeing process. Municipal leaders led teams to connect with textile enterprises in Beijing, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and other places; the investment promotion department established two stationed investment promotion teams to carry out investment promotion work in the Yangtze River Economic Belt. Through concerted efforts from top to bottom to attract investment, in 2022 alone, the city has contacted 256 textile-related enterprises and signed 10 projects, with a total planned investment of 3.322 billion yuan.
