The 2022 National Textile Industry Green Development Labor Competition (hereinafter referred to as the “Textile Green Development Labor Competition”) recently held a summary meeting in Beijing. The all-textile green development labor competition is to implement the “Notice of the General Office of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions on Carrying out the National Leading Labor and Skills Competition in the “14th Five-Year Plan”” and the “Textile Industry “14th Five-Year Plan” Development Outline” , an important event jointly organized by the ChinaTextile Industry Federation and the China Finance, Trade, Textile and Tobacco Trade Union during the “14th Five-Year Plan” period. The competition takes “Technology Leads Green Manufacturing” as its theme, is guided by the goal of carbon peak and carbon neutrality, and focuses on water conservation and efficiency improvement, energy conservation and carbon reduction, and resource recycling. During the competition, the China Textile Federation’s Environmental Protection Committee organized a total of three training sessions on water conservation and efficiency improvement, and two energy conservation and carbon reduction training sessions, with nearly a thousand people from more than 500 companies participating. In accordance with the competition goals and requirements, a total of 132 companies applied to participate.

At the meeting, company representatives shared their practical experience in corporate green development. Sun Zheng, chairman and president of Bashan Group Co., Ltd., introduced that the company attaches great importance to ecological environmental protection and resource and energy conservation, and strives to build a garden-style factory. The company persists in technological research and has formed an integrated technology for wastewater treatment and reuse of water-jet looms. The wastewater reuse rate has increased from 40% to 85%, achieving significant economic and environmental benefits. Jin Guang, Technical Quality Director of Consinee Group Co., Ltd., shared the company’s experience in implementing the concept of green development, improving the core competitiveness of high-end yarn in the international market, and creating a green smart factory. , exploring the textile printing and dyeing factory of the future, striving to minimize resource consumption and pollutant emissions, while greatly improving production efficiency and shortening delivery cycles.

Wang Qian, chairman of the China Finance, Trade, Light Textile and Tobacco Trade Union, said that the broad working class is the main force in realizing Chinese-style modernization. Promoting the extensive, in-depth and sustained labor competition for the green development of the national textile industry is to better play the main force role for the majority of industry workers.
