In 2022, Mengshan Sericulture Industry Demonstration Zone was successfully established as a five-star sericulture industry demonstration zone in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
The Mengshan Sericulture Industry Demonstration Zone is located in Xinwei Town, involving four administrative villages: Xiecun, Silian Village, Guding Village, and Xinwei Village. The planned core area is 5,430 acres, 14 kilometers away from the county seat, and 14 kilometers away from National Highways 321 and 321. National Highway 355 is 1 km each, and the transportation is very convenient. The layout of the demonstration area is divided into four functional areas: mulberry standardized planting area, silkworm cocoon breeding comprehensive demonstration park, mulberry seed seedling base, and cocoon silk processing area. Based on the business model of “leading enterprises + village-level economy + family farms + professional planting and breeding households” and based on “standard control and technology leadership”, we implement mechanism innovation, separation of planting and breeding, process reengineering, and intensive co-cultivation of small silkworms. Automate silkworm breeding, promote green prevention and control, water and fertilizer integration, and build ecological mulberry gardens, sericulture cultural centers, sightseeing agriculture and other leisure and tourism facilities.
The demonstration zone is based on Guangxi Huahong Silk Co., Ltd., a national agricultural leading enterprise, by strengthening infrastructure, strengthening material equipment, strengthening scientific and technological support, improving the mulberry industry chain, and promoting the mulberry industry along the lines of modernization, standardization, The track development of scale and branding will enhance industrial influence and added value, radiate and drive farmers to increase their income and become rich, and create an efficient and high-quality resource-intensive, environment-friendly, mulberry orchard planting, silkworm cocoon processing, Nanmao logistics, technology research and development, A five-star Guangxi modern characteristic agricultural demonstration zone integrating silkworm culture display and other functions.
