At the symposium, Wang Qiming introduced the situation related to sericulture production in Liangshan Prefecture in 2022. Cheng Ming introduced the operation of the province’s cocoon and silk industry in 2022 as well as the scientific research direction and work priorities of the Provincial Silk Science Research Institute. He said that the Provincial Silk Science Research Institute has always been based on the purpose of serving the industry and serving enterprises, taking the development of industry technical services as one of the three main lines of work, and will make every effort to provide guidance and targeted policies for the development of the sericulture, cocoon and silk industry in Liangshan Prefecture. Lin Ping, Tang Shicheng, Zheng Dan and others respectively introduced the development situation and layout planning of Ningnan County’s sericulture and cocoon silk industry, the development trends of provincial, municipal and state silk spinning and garment industry in 2022, thoughts on new industry tracks, and deepening of the institute’s enterprise development Scientific research cooperation, etc.

After listening to the speeches of the participants, Chen Xiangping pointed out that Liangshan Prefecture has always been an advantageous area and benchmark model for the development of the sericulture, cocoon and silk industry in the province. In the face of multiple international and domestic difficulties and various risk factors in recent years, it has still achieved sericulture. The industry has grown against the trend, with frequent highlights in terms of party and government guidance, departmental attention, enterprise development, and model innovation. It is hoped that Liangshan Prefecture will seize policy opportunities such as rural revitalization and expansion of domestic demand, consolidate development advantages, and continuously promote high-quality industrial development.
