Experts went to Anji County, Zhejiang Province to provide technical guidance on sericulture

On February 13, researcher Lu Zhiqiang and associate researcher Lin Tianbao, sericulture experts from the Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences, as well as researcher Qian Wenchun and senior agronomist Feng Shimin from the Municipal Agricultural Science Center, went to Anji Mingbo Family Farm and Macun Sericulture Professional cooperatives and other sericulture production bases provide technical guidance on sericulture.

The experts first came to the Mingbo Family Farm in Anji to inspect the upgrading and transformation of the silkworm breeding base, the processing quality of frost mulberry leaf tea, etc., and discussed the application for the next round of provincial industrial technology team projects. The experts suggested that based on the farm’s own technology Advantages and production characteristics, highlight features, scientific planning, and prepare for project application.

Next, the experts went to the mulberry planting base of the Macun Sericulture Professional Cooperative to provide on-site guidance on current mulberry cultivation and management techniques, visited the mulberry juice processing workshop, and held a symposium, where the experts focused on the introduction of new mulberry varieties. Suggestions are given on mulberry selection, leisure picking, project application and mulberry processing technology to solve the problems encountered by the Macun Sericulture Professional Cooperative in the development of the sericulture industry, and to contribute sericulture technology to Macun to increase people’s income and rural revitalization.
