It has complete original records of genealogical data since 1940, and has condensed the work of Professor Jiang Tongqing, Academician Xiang Zhonghuai, Professor Lu Cheng, and Professor Dai Fangyin. It represents the efforts of several generations of experts and scholars and has trained a group of young rising stars. At the turn of the century, the bank became the world’s largest silkworm gene bank, with outstanding achievements and well-known at home and abroad. It was recognized by international peers as a “central core institution” in this field.
The approval of the National Silkworm Genetic Resources Gene Bank is another important national platform for the school’s sericulture discipline and sericulture team.
