1. Steady development of silkworm industry

In 2022, the area of mulberry orchards in Yizhou District will reach 392,500 acres, and 44,200 acres of low-yield mulberry orchards will be renovated. The number of sericulture farmers will reach 85,000, with a breeding volume of 1.774 million silkworm seeds, and a total of 1.74 million commercial small silkworms. The silkworm co-breeding rate is 98.1%, the cocoon output is 93,000 tons, and farmers earn 4.6 billion yuan from selling cocoons; 71 technical training sessions have been carried out for 6,870 people, and 7,190 documents have been distributed. The scale of silkworm production in Yizhou District has ranked first among counties in the country for 18 consecutive years; We will continue to carry out the project of using rewards instead of subsidies for special industries to help achieve new results in rural revitalization and poverty alleviation. In 2022, a total of 2.42 million yuan will be distributed as rewards for mulberry seedlings, and a total of 72,000 yuan will be awarded for raising fourth-instar silkworms. Low-yield mulberry orchard renovation projects were carried out in Desheng Town, Anma Township, Liu Sanjie Town and other towns, with 330.43 acres renovated, and a total of 710,000 yuan in incentives and subsidies distributed.

(2) The production capacity of the cocoon and silk processing industry continues to expand, and the industrial chain continues to extend. Further improve the investment environment, vigorously attract investment, and strengthen service means; promote national leading enterprises such as Yizhou Hengye Silk and Jialian Silk to implement silk weaving technology transformation and capacity expansion projects; the Guangxi Guose Tencel Industrial Park project has started construction in Yizhou. There are currently 15 cocoon and silk enterprises on the scale. This year, the total output value of the cocoon and silk industry in the region is 2.1 billion yuan (data from the Yizhou District Bureau of Statistics). The output of white silk silk has reached 4,000 tons, and the output of gray silk has reached 4 million meters. (3) Resource utilization upgrade and expansion. There are currently 15 enterprises in Yizhou District focusing on the comprehensive development and utilization of sericulture resources such as mulberry trees, silkworm excrement, and cocoons. The introduced Guangxi Wuhe Boao Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. has become the first company in the country to use mulberry branches to extract modern natural anti-diabetic traditional Chinese medicine “mulberry branch alkaloid tablets” to be approved for marketing by the State Food and Drug Administration and included in the medical insurance catalog.

(4) Industrial market inspection and industrial service work are carried out in an orderly manner. When it comes to the sericulture industry, various industries and departments have strengthened services and achieved significant results in accepting corporate complaints, standardizing and rectifying silkworm seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, veterinary drugs, and carrying out law enforcement on silkworm materials. This year, a silkworm seed market supervision and law enforcement training work meeting was held, and a total of 142 copies of the “Yizhou District Silkworm Breed Production and Operation Management Responsibility Letter in 2022” were signed with silkworm seed production and operation units and commercial small silkworm producers and operators, and veterinary drugs were inspected ( There are 213 business units operating silkworms, pesticides, etc., and 1,000 copies of information have been distributed.

2. Highlights of work and remarkable results

(2) On September 20, 2022, the on-site promotion meeting for the high-quality development of the sericulture industry in the autonomous region was held in Yizhou District, Hechi City. Expand and extend the cocoon and silk industry chain, accelerate the construction of park infrastructure and introduced projects; focus on promoting the construction of the Guose Tencel Industrial Park project; further improve the park infrastructure, enhance the park’s carrying capacity, and lay the foundation for the construction of a 100-billion-dollar cocoon and silk industrial park.
