On the first day of work after the holiday, the Agricultural and Rural Affairs Bureau of Huanjiang Maonan Autonomous County in Guangxi held a work arrangement meeting to create an autonomous region-level sericulture industry demonstration zone.
At the meeting, Director Qin Qi made arrangements for the establishment of an autonomous region-level sericulture industry demonstration zone this year, requiring the bureau’s sericulture station and green food development station to cooperate with each other and follow the principles of business organization, equipment and facilities, production standardization, and elements Carry out the creation of demonstration areas for integrated and characteristic industrialization, encourage all staff to take the initiative, carry out work boldly, and strive to pass the autonomous region assessment and acceptance in June this year.
The demonstration area is located in Dacai Township. The total area of mulberry gardens in the township will reach more than 2,000 acres in 2022. Pingzhitun, Xinpo Village, Dacai Township, established the Huanjiangnan Gate Silkworm Professional Cooperative in September 2014. There are currently 102 members. There are 57 standard silkworm houses, an area of 9,800 square meters, and a mulberry garden area of 850 acres. The annual production of commercial silkworms is more than 10,800 pieces, with an output value of 3.5 million yuan; the annual output of fresh cocoons is 300,000 kilograms, with an output value of 7 million yuan. The cooperative actively promotes new varieties and new technologies, driving more than 1,800 surrounding farmers to become rich by raising sericulture, and has played a leading role in the industrialization and large-scale development of the sericulture industry in Huanjiang County. At the same time, an exhibition hall of the Silkworm Cultural Science and Technology Park will be built in Xinpo Village, Dacai Township, which will become a full industry chain demonstration park integrating industry, culture and tourism.
