Guangzhou: Intangible cultural heritage fragrant cloud yarn adds charm to the ancient buildings in Shamian
Nostalgic European doors and windows, thick wooden railings, elegant cement flower tiles… In a historical building on Shamian Island in Guangzhou, Guangdong, models walked in various styles wearing custom-made Xiangyun gauze clothes. Add charm to ancient buildings.
On December 26, the “Xiangyu·Intangible Cultural Heritage Xiangyunsha Culture Sharing Session” was held at the “Back and forth Coffee” on Shamian Island. The sharing session invited intangible cultural heritage clothing designer Jin Yongxuan as a guest to introduce the cultural connotation, manufacturing process and innovative design of Xiangyun yarn through an exhibition of Xiangyun yarn and a model display.
Xiangyun yarn, also known as “Xiangyun yarn”, is a national intangible cultural heritage and is known as the “soft gold” in textile fabrics.
