1. Sericulture production

At present, the acquisition of silkworm cocoons in Baise City, Guangxi has been completed. According to the dispatch of the agricultural department, the average price of silkworm cocoons for the whole year was 52.95 yuan/kg, a year-on-year increase of 2.46%, and an increase of 12.02% from the district’s 47.27 yuan/kg; silkworm farmers’ income from selling cocoons was 2.053 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 14.31%, accounting for 9.8% of the district’s total income. %; the first batch of fresh cocoons in Napo County was launched on April 15, becoming one of the first batch of fresh cocoons in the region; the cocoon output of two formerly extremely poor counties in Baise City (Napo County and Longlin County) was 11283.3 tons, silkworm farmers’ income from selling cocoons was 578.5 million yuan, and the average household income from sericulture was 30,400 yuan. The sericulture industry is still one of the main sources of income for farmers returning home during the epidemic. It has played an important role in promoting farmers to stabilize production and increase income and prevent large-scale return to poverty.
