Jiangsu Haian solidly promotes full-process mechanization of sericulture production
In order to promote the full mechanization of sericulture production, Hai’an City recently held an on-site promotion meeting for winter tubes and clamping seeds in mulberry gardens. The leaders in charge of the bureau, the person in charge of the sericulture business of each district and town agricultural and social bureau, and modernMore than 40 people in charge of silkindustrial chain enterprises and relevant persons in charge of the agricultural machinery department attended the meeting.
Participants investigated the Jiejin Sericulture Family Farm in the Development Zone, the Xinfeng Sericulture Professional Village in the High-tech Zone, and the Shunye Sericulture Family Farm in Nanmo Town. It was estimated that the use of mechanized harvesting and breeding can save the labor cost of more than 7 people. Each farm seeks benefits from technology and integrates innovative mulberry herbal cultivation, mechanized management of mulberry orchards, drone pest control, mechanized harvesting of mulberry leaves, automated square cocooning, mechanized cocoon harvesting, and electrified drying of mulberry cocoons. Mechanized production technology and facilities and equipment have vigorously promoted the transformation and upgrading of the sericulture industry, providing a strong typical example for Haian’s “one silk” to enrich people and increase their income.
After this on-site promotion meeting, the agricultural machinery and sericulture departments will further deepen collaborative cooperation, promote the organic integration of agricultural machinery and agronomy, accelerate the research and development of sericulture industry machinery products, promote the full mechanization development of the sericulture industry, and promote the Hai’an rural revitalization strategy.
