Sichuan: “Notice on Further Standardizing the Approval of Provincial Silkworm Breeds (Draft for Comments)” passed expert argumentation
On November 25, the Seed Industry Development Office of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, together with the Provincial Sericulture Management Station, organized an expert demonstration meeting on the “Notice on Further Standardizing the Approval of Provincial Silkworm Breeds” in Chengdu. Relevant experts from the Sericulture Research Institute of the Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Provincial Nanchong Silkworm Breeding Farm, the Provincial Santai Silkworm Breeding Farm, and the Provincial Sericulture Society attended the meeting. Wang Yanhong, director of the Provincial Sericulture Management Station, presided over the meeting.
At the meeting, Yang Yuanping, deputy director of the Provincial Sericulture Management Station, reported on the drafting background, basis, and early stage of the “Notice on Further Standardizing the Approval of Provincial Silkworm Breeds (Draft for Comments)” (hereinafter referred to as the “Notice”) Work etc. After listening to the report and reviewing the materials, the participating experts conducted discussions and comments, and put forward suggestions for modifications to some content. The expert group unanimously believed that: the “Notice” further standardizes the silkworm variety approval work in Sichuan Province, clarifies the application conditions, application materials and processing procedures for silkworm variety approval. The requirements involved are complete, in line with the actual situation of provincial silkworm variety approval in Sichuan Province, and has a relatively high standard. Strong operability.
