Zhu Shoupu, a postdoctoral fellow at the Suzhou Institute of Nanotechnology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, conducted a roadshow on the theme of “Industrialization of Thermal Oxidative Porous Carbon Fibers and Their Composite”. He introduced the preparation of porous oxygen-rich carbon fibers through a one-step heat treatment method. This thermal oxidation porous carbon fiber can be compounded with polymer fibers to achieve functions such as conductivity, heat dissipation, and radiation protection. Since the preparation process of thermal oxidized carbon fiber and its composites has the advantages of being simple, safe, environmentally friendly, and suitable for mass production, he believes that the project has broad commercial application value and development prospect.
