Cotton procurement in Manas County, Xinjiang proceeds smoothly
780,000 acres of cotton in Manas County have achieved a bumper harvest. Currently, cotton processing companies have prepared sufficient funds and are open to acquisitions.
On October 15, Zhou Yongpeng, a member of the Lesheng Planting Professional Cooperative in Letuyi Town, Manas County, came early to the cotton purchase and processing point of Manas Yintian Cotton Industry Co., Ltd. to sell new cotton. Ma Youhong, the person in charge of Manas Yintian Cotton Industry Co., Ltd., said: “Now we are purchasing about 600 tons of seed cotton every day, and we are seizing the time to process it. We process about 150 tons of lint cotton every day. , this year plans to purchase 30,000 tons of seed cotton and process more than 13,000 tons of lint cotton.”
It is understood that there are 22 cotton processing companies in Manas County and plan to purchase 350,000 tons of seed cotton. So far, 130,000 tons of seed cotton have been purchased, and the acquisition will be completed in early November.
