“Under the intelligent system, we use mobile phones as employees’ terminals. Paperless office has basically been realized.” Qiu Zhengxiong, deputy general manager of Zhongtuo Garment, said that through digital empowerment, the company’s production efficiency, productquality and other aspects have been improved. “Production efficiency has increased by about 20%, and labor costs have been saved by about 30%.”
In the digital age, intelligent and information-based transformation and upgrading such as “Internet +” and “5G +” have gradually become a new track for corporate competition. To this end, Nanchang Qingshan Lake District has adopted policy guidance to encourage enterprises to introduce intelligent production equipment to promote the transformation of the knitting industry from “manufacturing” to “intelligent manufacturing”.
Li Xiaojun, deputy director of the Science and Technology and Industrial Information Bureau of Qingshan Lake District, Nanchang City, said that the district provides appropriate financial subsidies for the transformation of knitting enterprises into intelligent equipment. “In addition to providing support in terms of policies and funds, we also focus on solving some practical problems for enterprises, such as solving people’s livelihood issues such as accommodation for corporate employees and children’s schooling.”
According to statistics, at present, more than 5,000 units (sets) of intelligent equipment have been promoted and applied in Qingshan Lake District, Nanchang City, and the intelligent application rate of key knitting enterprises has reached more than 60%. Digital means such as 5G are gradually being widely used in the knitting industry.

Li Xiaojun said that Qingshan Lake District has given full play to the role of industry organizations such as the Textile Chamber of Commerce, and has specially established the Qingshan Lake District Designers Association. The Garment Chamber of Commerce, together with the local cross-border e-commerce industrial park and traffic economy industrial park, will further expand the international and domestic markets.
