From August 31st to September 1st, researcher Zhao Weiguo, a post scientist in the comprehensive sericulture technology integration post of the National Sericulture Technology System and director of the Mulberry Cultivation Research Office of the Sericulture Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and his 5-member research team, the Provincial Sericulture Researcher Zhou Chengwei, a post scientist in the innovation team and deputy director of the Jiangsu Sericulture Research Institute, and a four-member research team came to Yancheng City to investigate and guide the current sericulture production. Director Chen Bin, a fourth-level researcher from the Municipal Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, accompanied the investigation.
The research team visited the Dafeng District Weijing Ecological Agriculture Development Co., Ltd. Mulberry Seedling Base, Dafeng District Silkworm Breeding Farm, Sheyang Silkworm Breeding Farm, Sheyang Sangle Farm, Binhai Silkworm Breeding Farm, and Binhai Modern Agricultural Industry In the park’s feed protein mulberry production base and other places, we conducted on-site inspections, consulted information, and held symposiums and exchange meetings to gain a detailed understanding of the safety production, innovation and excellence, brand building, resource protection, and Qualitycontrol, establishment of mulberry industry, diversified development, etc.
The research team fully affirmed Yancheng City’s achievements in innovative development of sericulture, diversified application development, “three products and one standard” cultivation, anti-virus security, and safe production. It is believed that this year, Yancheng City has overcome the impact of adverse weather such as the COVID-19 epidemic, high temperature and drought, planned ahead, organized in an orderly manner, and provided strong guarantees to ensure production safety and stability, and achieved good results in spring and summer silkworm harvests. , and at the same time laid a good foundation for a bumper harvest of autumn silkworms.
In Sheyang Teyong Sangle Garden and Binhai County Modern Agricultural Park Protein Mulberry Base, the research team believes that Yancheng City’s sericulture industry is undergoing transformation and upgrading and the integration of primary, secondary and tertiary industries.
