The re-election working meeting of the Silkworm Breeding Branch of the Chinese Sericulture Society was held in Ankang, Shaanxi
The sky is high and the clouds are clear, and the golden autumn is refreshing. On September 2, 2022, the re-election working meeting of the Silkworm Breed Branch of the Chinese Sericulture Society was held in Ankang. This conference was hosted by the Silkworm Breeding Branch of the Chinese Sericulture Society and hosted by Shaanxi Ankang Silkworm Breeding Farm Co., Ltd. The conference was held through a combination of online and offline methods. The main offline venue was located at Ankang Silkworm Breeding Farm Co., Ltd., Shaanxi Province.
At 9 a.m., the meeting was officially held. Chairman of the Chinese Sericulture Society, Director of the State Key Laboratory of Silkworm Genome Biology, Chief Scientist of the National Sericulture Industry Technology System, Dean of the School of Sericulture, Textile and Biomass of Southwest University, Yangtze River Scholar Professor Dai Fangyin, the first president of the Silkworm Breeding Branch, the second Honorary President of the 19th term, former Director of the Economic and Crop Division of the Ministry of Agriculture, Feng Huaisong, the first Vice President and Second President of the Silkworm Breeding Branch, Zhang Baohua, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Ankang Silkworm Breeding Farm Co., Ltd., and Zhang Baohua, the first Executive Vice President of the Silkworm Breeding Branch Researcher Fang Dewen, the president and deputy general manager of Shandong Guangtong Silkworm Breeding Group Company, the first deputy secretary-general and the second secretary-general of the Silkworm Breeding Branch, and Director Guo Zhaoyi of the Science and Technology Department of Shandong Guangtong Silkworm Breeding Group attended the meeting at the main venue. A total of 40 people, including the first and second vice presidents, secretary-general, deputy secretary-general of the Silkworm Breeding Branch, and representatives of 10 large-scale silkworm breeding farms across the country, attended the meeting via video.
The meeting was chaired by Fang Dewen, the first executive vice president of the Silkworm Branch. Four items on the agenda: First, President Feng Huaisong gave a summary report on the first session of the Silkworm Breed Branch of the China Sericulture Society; second, on behalf of Chairman Fang Yin, announced the list of leaders of the second council of the China Sericulture Society’s Silkworm Breed Branch and issued letters of appointment; third It was the speech delivered by Zhang Baohua, President of the Second Silkworm Breeding Branch of the Chinese Sericulture Society; the fourth speech was delivered by Chairman Fang Yin of the Chinese Sericulture Society.
In his speech, Chairman Dai Fangyin expressed warm congratulations on this meeting being able to overcome the severe impact of the new coronavirus epidemic and be successfully held on the shores of the Han River, the land where gilded copper silkworms were born, in safety and health. In his speech, he highly praised the achievements made in the development of Ankang’s sericulture industry and wished Ankang’s sericulture industry a better tomorrow and China’s “big sericulture” to be more brilliant.
Chairman Dai Fangyin put forward ardent hopes and high quality requirements for the new Silkworm Breeding Branch to do a good job in the “three seed industries”: First, safe seeding Industry must carry out silkworm breeding quarantine with high standards and strict requirements. The second is the high-quality seed industry, which should focus on improving the quality of silkworm seeds and increase efforts in all aspects of breeding, selection, breeding and marketing. The third is the external seed industry, striving for a larger foreign market, allowing commercial silkworm seeds to go out and contribute to the “One Belt and One Road “Serve.
Chairman Dai Fangyin called on China’s sericulture industry to adhere to the “four orientations” proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping as a guideline for the future, to promote self-reliance and self-reliance in high-level science and technology as a requirement, and to serve the national strategy and the main economic battlefield. The mission is to drive the high-quality development of modern sericulture through innovation, serve the country’s supply-side structural reform with powerful solutions for ecological sericulture, functional sericulture, and efficient sericulture, and make significant contributions to meeting the people’s growing needs for a better life.
